Firefly writing contest
The theme for this contest is:
"Loyalty."
The prize for the winning piece will be a $35 USD gift certificate (sponsored by HopeStation.net) to the winning author's choice of the following stores: Barnes & Noble.com, Amazon.com, or the Apple iTunes Store.
The rules:
*Must be a registered member of the HopeStation.net Repository to enter (registration is free, you may sign up anytime during the contest).
*Must be 18 years or older, and a resident of planet Earth. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
*There is no limit to the number of entries a single author may submit.
*All entries must be uploaded and stored on their HopeStation.net author account.
*Minimum word count is 500 words. Maximum word count is 7500 words.
*Entries must employ the universe of the television program, "FIREFLY," or the motion picture, "SERENITY," in one way or another.
*Entries for this contest will be accepted until 11:59pm Pacific Time, November 30th, 2007.
*Entries must be standalone, not part of a series or larger work.
*The winning entry will be decided by public opinion. The entry with the highest number of positive reviews from registered members by 11:59pm Pacific Time on December 14th will be declared the winner.
*Prizes(1): $35USD Gift Certificate to the winner's choice of an announced list of three online stores.
*Winners will be announced on December 15th. Prize transmitted or mailed within fourteen (14) days.
