I kinda like the new tune for the Doctor, or the tone of it; the fresh start for the series is certainly playing across to the Doctor too with more focus on the thirst for experience and adventures to be had than his troubled past. The character aspects emphasised by the new tune play up more of the trickster and the warrior, a bit of mysterious mad professor in the Oncoming Storm, while the previous was more the Last of the Time Lords, the wandering Lonely God. I'm sorry to see the old tune go, since it was used for Eccleston and Tennant and I was hoping it could be a linking thread across any regeneration now (especially since they're not allowed to use the title theme within the episodes).
Maybe get back to me in a few weeks, but at the moment rather than ever humming the Eleventh Doctor's theme I end up with All The Strange, Strange Creatures in my head. Even when the new tune is playing in the show...

Oh damn, I was just hit with a wave of woe. I think I'm coping well all things considered but I MISS THEM. *sniff*
*thinks of All The Strange Strange Creatures* Yeah, you're right! Hilarious. As I mentioned before it also reminds me a bit of Jack's leitmotif too, you know Here He Comes On A Ruddy Great Tractor.
