Well, I made it through my first week as a Virtual Employee. After quite a few bumps and bruises I think we have 98% of the bugs out of the system. I have most of my system tools back and I have the office set up.

We are still unpacking and trying to find everything AND trying to get everything fixed on the house that needs fixing. We still have to get/make a gate for the back yard so we can let the dog out. We still have to fix/replace almost all the doors in the house. We have to tape and mud my office, paint almost every room in the house. Finish out the floors. Get a garbage disposal. AND try to replace/fix everything that the movers broke or lost.

With all of this please understand if I am not in a yuletide frame of mind. After “missing” Thanks giving since everything We own was on a truck and we ended up having dinner at IHOP. I have not found the Yule décor and with the cost of the move and the replacement of stuff and loosing 3 weeks pay for the move along with the outlook of supporting 3-6 people I cannot afford Yule gifts for anyone (even the kids) this year.  This has been a difficult month and the next few do not look much better.  And I know I will not be able to “go home” for any holidays for quite some time. My Grandfather passed away last week and I was not able to go to Texas for his funeral (neither were the kids). So over all it has not been a smooth transition and I’m not feeling very festive.
