vwip!...vwip!...vwip!...vwip!

It's been at least 20 years since I last owned a pair of corduroys. Only one kind would do, Levi's, from when I was about 8 until sometime around 11th or 12th grade. My favorite colors were the grays, blues and browns (all available in several shades), and I seem to remember about fifteen different colors (Levis is currently making four colors). My sisters had them in red and turquoise, too. I dunno why I stopped wearing them; probably jeans seemed "tougher" in high school than warm and fuzzy cords.

The sound ("vwip!...vwip!") comes from the fabric rubbing against itself when walking. So strange to get a time-travel effect from the look, feel and sound of a pair of pants! Yay!

I'm amazed I found this on the net: a silly 1970's Levi's TV commercial jingle. I'd love to find the video of it, with trippy bright colors and a guy walking around backwards because he's different and cool, but for now, here's the soundtrack to "Good Morning World". It's a .wav file, and it was recorded loud and not very well, but it's also proof that *everything* is on the net if you only know where/how to look...
