So, since i'm not actually talking to most folks i know these days, I've decided to put this space here to use again... It's easier to update, what with the web interface, and all that jazz, and i know at least a couple people will read it and be interested... Or so i think.
Anyway, here's the situation as it stands.
I'm sitting on a street in Stockholm typing on my laptop using pirated wireless internet. It's pretty handy, but i only have my this for a couple more weeks until my parents go home and take it with them. But then i should have internet available at friends' houses.
My parents... They came a couple days ago on the 2nd, with my sister, and we've been staying at a hostel, the af Chapman, in downtown Stockholm since. It's a nice hostel, excellent location, maybe a bit expensive, but i don't know, because luckily my parents are paying for pretty much everything so far. This is good because i don't know that i could stand to be around them this much if they weren't. It's a mixed bag. Sometimes they're absolutely terrible, but so far it's been tolerable. I just have to remember, it's only 3 weeks. After that, they fly back home, from Munich, and i do a bit more (5 weeks) travelling on my own, visiting the abovementioned friends.
Yes, Munich. In the first 3 weeks, we will likely be visiting Copenhagen.dk, Lubeck.de, Prague.cz, and Munich.de. Should be a good start, if i don't kill my parents first. My sister is alright, because we don't bicker at each other anymore, and can bitch about how mom and dad are, to each other. She just has some crazy obsessions with shoes... I won't go into that, however.
So, in the last few days in stockholm, i've finally done all the touristy things i never did before while here. So, i've gone to see Drottningholm Palace, the City Hall, Skansen and the Wasa museum, and walked around downtown and Gamla Stan gobs. Not so much as one might expect, though, because my mom is extremely slow at walking, and both my parents get tired ridiculously early. It has been good, though, seeing the show stoppers in stockholm, and some of them are indeed very nice. Too bad i keep forgetting to bring my camera with me.
That's about the situation of it at the moment. I'll put a projected schedule for where i'll be after my parents leave, soon. This could come in handy for, perhaps, the people who i will be visiting, to give them some fore-warning of my arrival. hehe.
But, my but's getting sore now, from sitting on the sidewalk for so long, so i'll head back to the hostel now. I wonder if the police are still watching outside the hotel on the way... They've been there the past couple days because the Pakistani president is staying at the Grand Hotel in stockholm, and so there's a really big security presence, but that's a whole other story.
