1. How old will you be in 12 Months?
24... that's an odd age. I don't know what I think about that.
2. Do you think you'll be married by then?
Ha. I'd be happy if I had a date by then. Though this is definitely the first survey I've ever seen that question on.
3. What do you look forward to most in the next 3 months?
Three months from now will be December 30th... I think I've got a trip to Iowa in there somewhere, so that's probably it. Otherwise, it's a long stretch of the routine.

Kelly, giving me directions for last Thursday night's entertainments
6. Do you prefer to call or text?
Phone, definitely. Texting is slow, awkward, and only good for situations where you can't afford to be heard.
7. Do you have any pets?
Do they still count as mine if I don't live there? My mom's got my two cats, the dog and some fish, Dad's got another dog and a grey parrot I enjoy tormenting.
8. What were you doing at 12 am last night?
Walking around Westwood, pounding pavement as therapy
9. Do you like carrots?
Yup - baby carrots with ranch is one of my better snacks.
10. When is the last time you saw your mom?
A few weeks ago? Something like that.
12. How many houses have you lived in?
*chuckles* 15, not counting the three different dorm buildings in college, or the house I lived in for that summer in DC. So 19 residences for about 23 years of life. Dang.
13. How many city/towns have you lived in?
Let's see... Lakewood, Downey, Iowa City (and University Heights), Coralville, Tiffin, North Liberty, Joliet, Long Beach, Claremont, and Westwood/Los Angeles, so about 11, depending on your definition of town.
14. Do you prefer shoes, socks, or bare feet?
Unless it's dangerous or cold, I like my feet bare. Birkenstocks are a close second.
15. Are you a social person?
More than I used to be, I'll say that much.
16. What was the last thing you ate?
Hamburger Helper, specifically the tomato basil penne. Not bad, actually.
17. What is your favorite color?
Still blue, though greens, browns and some reds are creeping in.
18. What are you doing for your next birthday?
No idea - I'm generally pretty low-key about these things.
19. What is your favorite TV show?
I've spent way too much on Buffy DVDs, had a beloved friend cart back 6 seasons of Xena for me, and am deriving far too much enjoyment from CSI: Miami these days.
20. What kind of jelly do you like on your PB & J sandwich?
What is with this question? I don't do peanut butter, so forget about it.
21. Do you like coffee?
There are drinks that contain expresso that I very much enjoy, but when it comes to normal coffee-machine coffee, I have to be in a certain mood, and there's gotta be significant amounts of sugar and creamer involved.
22. How many glasses of water a day do you drink on average?
Probably not enough - it takes me awhile to go through a pretty small Britta.
24. What are you listening to?
Erin Brockovitch is on tv. In a broader interpretation of the question, my new Brandi Carlile cd's been getting a lot of play this week - gotta internalize it before I have a prayer of being able to play her stuff, but I like her voice and style, so it's a joy.
25. Do you sleep on a certain side of the bed?
Don't think so. I've been traveling enough lately to know that I don't really have a preference.
26. Do you know how to play poker?
I could hold my own. Got a little too into watching texas hold 'em on tv for awhile there - very educational.
27. What are you thinking about?
How the heck am I going to wake up tomorrow to get to Pasadena by 12:30? My sleep issues are getting highly inconvenient. Also, I like my new jeans. It's late, I get random.
28. Any plans for this weekend?
As mentioned, I have to be in Pasadena tomorrow for a friend's b-day party, along with church as usual. Next weekend... no plans yet, but I suspect that'll change soon enough.
29. Do you eat out or at home more often?
Probably more at home, though it's a fairly close thing.
33. Have you ever been in an ambulance?
Briefly while they were checking me out after that incident with the semi.
34. Do you prefer an ocean or pool?
For what? Ocean for serenity, boogie-boarding and hanging with friends, but pools are great for just cooling off and socializing.
36. Do you know how to drive a stick shift?
Yep. Took some learning, but now I vastly prefer it, and am irritated that it's not possible to get a hybrid that drives like a stick.
37. What is your favorite thing to spend money on?
Travel of various forms - from plane tickets to keeping my tank nicely filled so I can go wherever I want. I love the freedom of it.
39. Do you speak any other language?
I'm still decent at German, so yep.
41. Who is the funniest person you know?
Candy is frickin' hilarious... yeah, I feel good about that answer.
42. Do you sleep with stuffed animals?
Nope.
44. What is the main ring tone on your phone?
Sprint calls it "lake trance" - I like it, but it's an awkward length and ends on an unresolved note, which irritates me.

White.
47. Do you shut off the water while you brush your teeth?
Yep.
48. Do you wish someone was with you right now?
On some level, these days I always wish there was somebody around. I don't need to be entertained, I'd just kind of like the company.
49. Do you miss someone?
Not really. I'm pretty settled with people being where they are.
50. Do you talk to the person who posted this before?
We talked pretty regularly for awhile there, but not so much now. *shrug* So it goes.
