I need to own up to the truth. I love cylons.
Great Q&A about "No Exit" with writers Jane Espenson and Ryan Mottesheard. BSG 4.15 - No Exit
How do writers make a whole hour of exposition that riveting?!
I hated Ellen as a human, just like I hated Tigh. But since they've been cylonized, I love them. Resurrected Ellen rocks! She's so put together and not crazy. John getting back at her with all that wonky programing. It doesn't surprise me at all that John is the mastermind whose plan is unraveling before his pitiful humanoid-cylon eyes. How
Oedipus complex of him to frak his "creator/mother" and try to kill his "human race/father". (Since the human race "fathered" the cylons.) This show sure loves its Greek mythos.(And so do I.)
ANDERS CAN NOT BE (BRAIN) DEAD! [sniffs] I hope Ellen can save him. Michael Trucco did such an awesome job making the final five saga entertaining. I love Tryol laughing over him and Tory being together in a previous life.
Now that Boomer's heard the whole story, I'm wondering what exactly brought her back into the fold. Here's hoping for a Chief/Boomer reunion.
13 Cylons! I totally called that. I must be braid dead for not checking into them skipping #7 though. Hmm. But since Daniel is gone is Kara his replacement?
Dollhouse 1.01 - Ghost
It was an decent pilot, nothing spectacular. It was a set-up episode. The person I empathized the most with was Boyd Langton, Echo's handler. Wow, angry shirtless!Tahmoh Ballard. A force to be reckoned with.
The critics have been really tough on this show. Saying how can you relate to Echo if she's always changing into a different person. It reminds me of Sydney Bristow. The show was not named Sydney, it was called Alias. While Sydney was the catalyst and focal point of the show, it always felt like an ensemble cast to me. The reason I watched it was not for Sydney but for the supporting cast. Her parents, Sark (how I love him!), Sloane, Marshall, Will, and even Vaughn (early on) rocked. I wasn't watching for Jennifer Garner, though I thought she did a good job with the material they gave her. Same with Echo/Eliza. I like her but the supporting cast is more important to me. Joss has shown that he loves ensembles, and gives everyone their own story lines. But something this complex takes time for the pieces to start assembling. I'm at least going to watch the whole season, which is something I've never done for a Joss show when they've been on the air.
Next week, Matt Keeslar guest stars! [grin]
Chuck 2.13 - Chuck vs. the Suburbs
Happy to have Chuck back! I like housewife Sarah. Chuck finding his own way out of the hand cuffs. Hee. Of course, Casey likes the pain. Loved the "close your eyes" Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark shout out. Yay for Fulcrum secrets in Chuck's head. Now Beckman can't order Chuck killed.
Big Mike and Morgan's mom. Ew! Emmett's toupee was a riot.
Okay, they need to stop the Chuck/Sarah build up and tear it back down. I can't take it anymore! The way that Sarah shuts him down is ...grr. Chuck has been rejected so many times by her. I miss Lou.
Leverage 1.12 - The First David Job
Parker & Hardison "pretend" to make out! Eliot & Nate's ex-wife! LOL Badger Sterling's back! It was funny. (Hardison saves the picture of "Old" Nate he painted.) It was dark. (Sophie's double dealing. Nate's drinking is out of control.)
"Some people do crosswords." Parker on creating a plan to steal the David statue on the fly.
