1. Do you believe sexual abuse in early childhood affects the sexual orientation of an individual? Totally possible, but i couldnt say yes or no for sure.
2. What factors may shape a person’s sexual identity? my spiritual beliefs say its preordained.
3. Where does one draw the line between sexual exploitation versus sexual exploration? :) what line?
4. What other areas of one’s life could sexual abuse influence? relationships, self esteem, self worth, confidence, trust, social skills, sexual ability
5. Do you believe therapy can truly help individuals in overcoming their trauma? only if they want to be helped. and not on its own.
6. Statistically, adult survivors of abuse have a 5 times greater likelihood of being diagnosed with anxiety issues, what are some methods of therapy that could help decrease this rate? it depends on the person, id say they have to do some introspection and their answer is within them.
7. Do you believe our judicial system effectively deals with childhood abuse cases? dont know enough about it
8. Is it possible boys internalize their abuse differently than females? Could a higher number of cases remain unrepeated for males due to societal stereotypes? probably.
9. Why do you believe many victims mature into perpetrators of sexual abuse in a perpetual cycle? power/worth issues, misery loves company, etc.
10. Does the demographic of age play a role in which an abuse victim’s case is handled? for sure.
11. Do you think interfamilial abuse should be more openly discussed within educational programs? i'm not really sure what that would improve.
