Lost show finale... its over... :(

so i guess it is now 2 nights ago, since its tuesday morning, was the show finale of LOST. i wanted to write something that night but i was very emotional over the ending, i could not even fully process what had happened. lol.

ofcourse i think this episode can be interpreted many ways, and what i am writing is the way i saw it. therefore i am not saying mine is correct because i know some may see it differently especially depending on people's beliefs.

i think the eding of lost was a sufficient ending for a show that was always about science vs. faith. throughout the seasons you always saw jack as the man of science and locke man of faith. i was always curious who whose beliefs would win in the end. and i personally think lockes won in the end. jack stating he wishes he could tell locke he was right about things was something that told me in the end jack became a man of faith over the man of science.

i think jimmy kimmel got it right when he said that night the show really revolved around jack, and how he had to learn how to "let go" and believe i something other than facts.

all the stories i think got wrapped up nicely. i love the flash sideways, because when each couple met eachothr again and they had flasbacks it made me want to cry. like jin and sun when i finally understood that this wasnt an ulternate universe, it was a limbo of sorts that was created for them to live the life they wanted i they had not gone on the island. i really noticed it when locke told jack u dont have a son in the hospital. at first i was like wtf? what does this mean? but its because he got enlightened and knew that this was not reality and that they were dead, jack just had not recognized it.

jack was the last to be enlightened by the fact that he was dead, but also when he got enlightened that is when we were told they died. when jack walks into the little chapel there is a stain glass i noticed in the back that was interesting to me. it had a huge light in the middle and on the ends of it had 6 circles which i am assuming all of the religions of the passengers on the plane. when jack finally opens the coffin he sees his dad is not in it. but than you see jacks dad behind him. jacks dad, christian shepard (which i never really thought much of is name until kate made a comment about it), when he started talking about how everyone here at one point in time has died, and that they have come here because this were they all agreed to meet one day to go to heaven together.

when his dad was saying all of this i am truly hoping that when jack died and he saw the plane in the air that the plane landed safely in la or where ever it may land. and that they lived awhile because i do not want to believe that they died on that plane ride.

one of my favorite scenes also is when ben is sitting outside of the church and locke comes by rolling in the wheel chair. the exchange that happens here made me teary eyed, where ben asks for forgiveness and locke gives it to him. and also en telling locke that he thinks locke doesnt need the wheel chair anymore, and locke does get out of it and walks in the church.

also hurley brought up a new question for me how long was hurley and ben on the island for after the whole apocalypse thing. but him telling ben he made a great no.2 and ben saying hurley made a great no.1 just made me happy. because when u think about how ben had all that resentment against jacob because he was never the chosen one, and when he is told by hurley to help him protect the light the look ben has is like he finally gets it.

the last scene is where i think many people feel it was a whole fast wrap up, but i think it was a beautiful way to end it. when jack finally enters the church, you see all of the original cast there waiting for him. waiting for him so they can cross over to the next world. and they are greeting each other as old friends because they finally remember what they all had been through together on the island. when they all sit down the person who leads them to the next world is jacks dad. and the light fills the church and it ends.

even while writing this i get a little emotional because it was such a good ending for me personally. and all the actors did an extremly fine job in this drama and in this episode. it seems like some of the actors were a little emotional too when they went on jimmy kimmel right after. lol. but seeing some of the cast there was nice and it was fun watching that special. :)

ummm... i dont know what else to write except that watching the finale made me feel like all those hours i had invested into the show paid off at that point. and i finally understand why the lost poster was white for this season.

watching this show has been a great experience and i will miss it. my life now feels empty without it. lol. just 'cuz i know that there is no other season coming after this, this was the end.
