X Japan filming at the Kodak Theatre jan. 9, 2010
Yesterday i went to the X japan filming. i left at 430. xp taping started at 4 but i was only an hour late. (which i was there when they first started filming the MVs.) Even though it was filming for the MVs they performed live st points. and they performed all the songs in full when they performed live. I think because it was going from sunset to night at that point.
I enjoyed seeing them perform, it was never boring. They were so high energy in every take that it was always fun. They had fire and fireworks on the stage. it was awesome~!
One thing i will remember about this filming is when they performed ENDLESS RAIN. i dont know what but everyone was singing together and no one got bored of singing. We just kept singing and when they panned the band they were so mello and yoshiki had his hands acrss his chest. I think this was one of those times were everyone felt it. And after they finished this song they just walked off. No waving, no looking at the audience... it was different from all the other times where they would look at us befre they left. Especially Toshi, he would wave a lot to us.
Another thing i will remember about is the audience and how when they past out the glow sticks, we all went crazy. and the glow sticks had x japan written on it!!! so that was totally awesome!!!!
after that they took a break. so we figured they took a dinner break, so my mom and me went to go eat at the soda fountain. and that was tasty, we got to see the clean up crew get the stage ready for more filming. by the time we finished our dessert thay took they stage again. so we stayed across the street to watch. It was amusing. People who never heard of them would just stp and watch them perform. After they finished people would applaud and go on there merry way to whatever place they were heading too.
they ended around 10ish. Yoshiki made a speech before he left. this isnt exactly what he said but he said "Thank you for coming. this will be our last song. i do not think you can see this but we have Hides guitar here. so there are 6 memebers performing on stage not 5." i thought that was really sweet. to keep his guitar on stage even if sugizo has taken the spot last left by Hide. the way he put it was really nice.
so when it finished we crossed back to the Kodak area and i talked to a couple of people. apparently they didnt hear Yoshikis speech... no surprise. Everyone was in the moment. who knows when they will come back? and so everyone was just cheering to cheer. lol. but i know they heard the second part just not the whole last song part. so they were a little depressed when i brought up the news to them.
I had a creme brulee at the bakery i like on the second floor and hoping to see them go into there hotel. they put security at the hotel because word went around where ther were staying at. lol.
So overall it was fun. my mom is now in love with them... saying that they arent as scary as some of the other bands i like... and that they look like guys... i told her shes mean. But Toshi's voice has improved and it was really nice taping. It wasnt as tedious feeling as other filmings. so it made it alot more enjoyable.
the 4 pvs shot were: IV(which i was singing along too, and it was fun.), Jade(i believe this is a new song. and by the end of the night i knew most of te engrish. I really loved this one), Endless rain(They sot this one so many times, different parts, but that one time was the most perfect moment for me. Oh and this was the closing song too. but they waved at people in the end. they just looked at everyne in the audience area. it was nice.), and rusty nail (this one i believe had the fire... when i watch my videos i will figure it out.)
But i was so much fun last night. went home around 12ish, but time passed by so fast and i am curious how this all will come together when it is released.

when i looked out the window at the soda fountain, i saw the fans doing the X sign with the glow sticks that was given to them. lol. i have another picture were this guy had three light up swords on each hand and was doing the x sign. There many cosplayers of the band too. and like 3 Hides' all in one spot. alot of Hide plushies too but that isnt to much of a shock.
People who were staying at the Hollywood hostel went on the roof. and they all had X japan shirts... so they maybe japanese fans... who knows.

I start school tomorrow. xp i dont wanna start but oh well.
