I've just picked up the last book I need for this quarter, and I'm a little staggered by the final amount I've spent on textbooks in the last three days. I'm too lazy to calculate the exact amount, but it's somewhere around $250. And they're all softcover. (-∀-;)
The two that are standing up and the one on top of the pile are for British Lit. (OMG Victorian Age *__*), and the rest are for Greek/Roman Lit! 8D Awesome classes...not so awesome workload. The one book that's MIA is my Nutrition textbook. Unfortunately, I lost it on the bus on my way to class. I cheerfully walked into the classroom, sat down, and reached into my bag to grab my textbook...only to realize that it wasn't there. I situated myself at the bus stop after class and hounded each bus that came my way, and none of them had it. I'm not about to pay another $60+ for a shoddy compilation of text that I'll never use again after ten weeks! (;´Д`)
On a more amusing note, my suite mate got pranked by her roommates, and I must say, they did a pretty thorough job. This was what her living quarters looked like when we walked into her room:
They stripped her bed and hid her bedding materials in the bathroom cubby holes, and they somehow managed to flip over everything on her desk. Needless to say, my suite mate was not amused. 8D; This is one of those times I'm grateful that I have a single. :X
