Ace Attorney has taken over my life, and I LIKE it. <3 *(´∀`)*

I've just finished Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations, and my god...I'm not ashamed to say the last case was so touching that it made me tear up. ;_________; Oh, Godot...oh, Iris...oh, everyone. It was all so tragic and absolutely amazing.

I'm enthralled with the way it played out, and when everything was over, I just felt this sense of overwhelming satisfication. There wasn't a single loose end that wasn't tied up in the final Phoenix Wright game. Every last bit of the case was explained in full detail, and that's pretty difficult considering the last case tied in everything you learned in the previous two AA titles as well. It's amazing how much detail there is in every aspect of the game; everything from the characters' dialogues to the crime scenes is methodically thought out by the creators. Nothing is trivial. I'm always so excited when something shows up from a prior case that was seemingly insignificant and it turns out to be the crucial piece of evidence that solves the case. As a player, you're always on the edge of your seat, trying to figure out what is an actual clue and what is a red herring.

What make Ace Attorney so entertaining are the characterization and the plot. Most people recognize the game for its amusing trademark catchphrase, "OBJECTION!", but after playing the three Phoenix Wright games, I can say that while AA has its humorous and lighthearted moments, it's also dark and thoughtful at times. The characters' quirky personalities and over the top antics are really endearing, but what gets you attached to them is the fact that they also have character development. Nothing's ever as simple as it appears to be on the surface. Just when you think you've solved the case, something else shows up, and the plot becomes so intricate and hideously entangled that you can only just sit back and stare in disbelief and awe.

I can see why fans of the game are so loyal to it. I’ve certainly fallen for it. Hard. <3

I have Apollo Justice and Perfect Prosecutor in my possession, but...I'm hesitant to start AJ because I've heard that Phoenix is no longer the DA in that game and that Maya doesn't even show up. ;___; Chances are I'm probably going to cave in and start playing sometime this week, though,  because I reeeally want to know what happens next.

I really have no self control, do I? XD;

Oh, and have I mentioned that the AA Orchestrated Soundtrack is gorgeous?   *___*

brief reflection, objection!
