SCOTUS says 'EPA Can Regulate'

Apr 02, 2007 16:57

Yay!

The Supreme Court just ruled that despite what Bush said, the Environmental protection agency does have the ability to regulate power plant emissions and other such things. They also ruled that annual output it was should be considered vs. hourly, so a plant can not simply operate at 3/4ths maximum output for 24 hours a day vs maximum output for 18/day and skirt the regulations.

This is a victory for all who breathe. Not to mention for the environment and for people who don't appreciate global warming.
