Ready, Get Set, Go.
Ready Steady can't hold me back
Ready Steady give me good luck
Ready Steady never look back
LET'S GET STARTED Ready Steady GOOOOO!!!!!
In actual fact, I'm not ready at all to embrace 2008. Time just kind of moved too fast and before I knew it, I was already shouting "HAPPY NEW YEAR" at my first ever countdown party, going around groping my friends and giving hugs (you peeps that received my non-chest-touching-chest-hug better treasure that, for the Great Yep doesn't give it so easily. NAHAHAHAHA!). It was a good change from staying at home counting down the seconds in front of my computer. Even though I wasn't ready, but I couldn't be any happier that 2007 was over for me, finally. At the strike of 12am, I felt this invisible load off me, and there was this feeling that the old skin (or expired fats) was shed and I felt that I'm once again given another chance to start anew. Well, we can always start anew at any day, any hour, any minute, any second, but considering I'm a perfectionist, time matters A LOT to me. Kalcifer's birthday being set at 6/6/2006 is also a product of my perfectionism.
I remembered hearing rumours that those fortune-teller peeps were saying 2007 gonna be the dragon babies best time. Hah, I say "bleh on you" for that. I don't really believe in Zodiac forecast for the year, and it was disappointing to know that I even give a little shit for that. Anyway, it sounds kind of silly to see all the dragon babies getting good results and everybody having a smooth time together. Impossible. Well, I'll stick to horoscope.
Although 2007 didn't start on a good note, at least towards the end of 2007, I had a great time.
So 2008 yeah... Let me face the most horrible truth first, I'm turning 20. A few of my friends were already discussing about the Big 2. I think I should stop sulking on the fact I'm turning 20. Might as well use the time to play Big 2 as well as to start saving money for anti-aging products. By the way, it is recommended that you start those anti-aging care asap, not until you start seeing wrinkles. The first step I took to stop my droopy cheeks from subscribing to the force of gravity was to use toner and start whacking my cheeks upwards. Fair enough, I understand why my brother likes to shout right in front of my face "AHAHAHAAHAHAHAH!! DOUBLE CHINS! FAT FACE!" from time to time =.= I'm beginning to feel that my looks has began to change towards the Big 2 too. But my gravity-defying spiky hair is holding me back with all its might.
Enough about the superficial stuff.
The first big move I made for 2008: I withdrew from NUS.
And just a while ago my uncle has to call and start saying all those shit. I -WITHDREW- damn it, and I'm not happy in there and I'm overjoyed that I'm out. How encouraging he can always get. Sometimes I couldn't help but raise my voice at him. Anyway, yes, I'm just pausing my studies for now, aiming to try NUS FASS next semester and NTU SADM. Since they always say stuff like "just get a degree", so if it's simply about the degree, at least I should be doing some things that I like. And then they go off to say how useless arts degree is. Oh well... never-ending. I'm hoping to get into NTU more.
So my immediate focus for now is to build a decent portfolio. Not sure how to begin, but I'll need a camera definitely. May the ang pao money help me achieve this goal.
Aiya, I think I'll list the resolutions more in point form.
- Force my way into NTU SADM. NAHAHAHHAHAHAH!
- Manage my savings carefully.
- Be more sincere when giving birthday presents, and not to be late if possible. I have forgotten the beauty of self-made cards/presents and surprises for the past 3 years, until Soo Didi showed me the mini story book made by Clarice. Damn, it was such an inspiration. But then again, it might still be better to ask what the birthday boy/girl likes and forget about the surprise.
- Continue to brush up my face up skills.
- Continue to love Hyde faithfully ^3^
- Take up Japanese language course. Hope I save enough for that.
- Pick up an instrument?? HAHAHAHA! I have no idea if I'll complete this resolution.
- Feels like getting the japanese SoftBank handphone, Toshiba or Sharp. Eh.. this should belong to the wishlist XD
That's about it for now. 14 Jan 2008 and I'm done with my list.
Edited on 19/01/2008:
Add another one to the list above
- Save enough for a Free-and-Easy trip to Japan ^_^
Splitting the Oreo and giving you guys the cream side,
