Nice Locals
I got an offer from another plasterer today to let me have a job we were both applying for. He's the owner of one of the older firms and has a deeper network of contacts, so he's always got plenty of work.
Im actually doing pretty well, but I took him up on it anyway and said thanks. Its real good to see other people who have an awareness of community and how to keep a local economy moving. I try to spread work and money around to those who need it, but thats easy for me because my position is solid. Im sure there are plenty of people who either don't notice how their spending habits affect things, or are just battening down the hatches and trying to spend less to survive.
