Seasonal Things.
Ah, Winter...
My collection of band hoodies suddenly becomes useful, the propositions turn from 'hey, lets hook up in the carpark' to 'come over and watch a movie and stay the night so we dont freeze', and I cant tell my friends apart at the pub anymore because theyre all wrapped up in black.
Extra blankets on beds, all kinds of stew and soup, crack out the old thermos flask to have a hot drink at work, and go home early every day because the sunlight fails at about 4pm.
Also, got our slider serviced finally, and we've all almost hurled it onto the floor already because it used to take two hands to move it... now it rolls freely under its own weight and we dont need a run-up to open our front door.
Got a few mates coming down from Auckland tonight, to support another band thats playing some kind of reunion gig. Could be good, could be cold and awful... on the up side, Terris decided she owes me a box of whiskey in return for supporting her drinking habit these last few years. Now that my cronies are finding employment Ive been enjoying a lot of free feeds and generosity - its really enforced the 'pay it froward' kind of lifestyle that Ive been living. Yay for goodwill and honest friends.
