St Patrick is my home boy

St Pattys Day was awesome.  Real good atmosphere down at Biddy Mulligans, lots of good mates, fun times.

Caught up with Nige and Amanda after a long hiatus, that was cool.  Two of my girl mates have decided to defy their families and elope to Wanganui... no I dont know either.  Went to Oranges house (which he doesnt live at but still has a key for) and had a party there after the pubs closed, smoked cigars and played pool and drunk the woodstocks we found next to the couch...

Sent a txt to my workers at 6:30am to say I was still drinking and that they could stay in bed til I was done... I dunno how I stay employed sometimes, I guess I must be good or something :)  Finally got all our asses to work by 10am, after a couple hours of organising the van and wotnot.  Only lasted until about 2pm, then I was falling asleep on my tools... I was knackered.  Barely able to drive home, kept nodding off at the wheel.  Hardly anybody was at work, I ran into a few of them in town the night before so I guess Im not the only one who had a big night!  The day after St Pattys should be a public holiday, similar to Australia Day for the Aussies.  Maybe I'll form a political party!

My mums in hospital currently with a twisted and haemoraging intestine, she had an operation to fix it so she'll be out in a week.  Initially they had a lot of trouble diagnosing it, and it was pretty scary for a bit cos mum was in pain and the doctors were looking confused a lot.  Bit of a wake-up call for the family... both of my parents are in the wars currently.  Dad had his knee operated on so hes in a wheelchair for a while.
Bout time they sold the farm and moved into some other lifestyle I think...  Financially its not in the best nick though so Dad may be holding out for a good year before he lets it go.  Times are changing...

Looking foward to The Wedding soon.  This weekend Im in Auckland doing some shopping for the stag do... oh such times we will have!

ramblings, work, family, piss
