I really do have a charmed existence...
Missed out on a job because some else was 10% cheaper, and I was thinking: 'Crap, no work to do.' So I used the time off to get my mortgage stuff sorted out... because I wasnt working, I now have all week to shop around and get a better deal. Found a guy that is willing to loan with $5k less deposit and the same interest, but structured so it wont cost me much more. So in missing out on that one job, I got a better deal on a loan thats going to be with me for at least the next 20 years.
I also met a guy who was two houses for me to start straight away, with the possibility of 30 more... Net result = Win!
