It's been a little while, so here's a bit of an update.
I'm finally married! Craig and I were married November 21st, 2009 and I'm so happy it's all over!
The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a ton of fun. We have gotten a lot of greatly positive feedback from the attendees which makes me so happy. There were a few hiccups but we had more than enough people at bat for us that everything was handled in a timely manner.
My father in law cooked all the food except one dish which my mother prepared, and everyone was very impressed (which made me so happy). We had all of my favorite foods; fried chicken, mostaccholi, green beans, mashed potatoes, pasta salad, awesome meatballs in gravy, and some other things I can't remember.
We had more than enough liquor which made me happy! Craig and I kept going back and forth as to whether or not we had too much (with me saying we had waaaaay too much but he didn't agree) and in the end I'm just happy we had enough. :D
As soon as I can, I will get pictures up of the wedding and, specifically, my dress which my sister Trish and my Mom made for me. It was so pretty! I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with it, but I know that I want to preserve it somehow.
Craig was incredibly handsome and most said he looked liked the godfather because he had grown his hair out a bit and kinda looked like a mafia guy. During the ceremony we laughed a little and I cried a little but mostly we just looked at each other. I'm not gonna lie, I took Shelly's advice and just watched him the whole time. Which may be why I put the ring on his right hand instead of left, but oh well. :D A lot of people noticed but it doesn't bother me much. The expression on his face when he gave me the wrong hand was priceless, but I honestly didn't realize what was going on, I was just mortified that the ring didn't fit! I'm silly. :D
Our DJ was AWESOME! If you ever need one I would highly suggest Party Crasherz (www.partycrasherz.net and
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Party-Crasherz/129981443177). Doug met with us a few weeks ahead of time and had a list of questions for us to make sure the night ran smoothly. He was open to our ideas (specifically the song Fuck Her Gently by Tenacious D and the Benny Hill Theme Song) and gave us lots of other ideas as well. I know my father in law gave him crap for how he was dressed, but he specifically asked us if we would like him to wear a suit or not and we said he didn't have to. We told him that he can wear khakis if he likes or whatever makes it easier to carry his equipment as long as he was clean. :D So that was us, not him.
Either way, such a fun night!
I also got a promotion at work, I'm now the Produce Supervisor. It's a small department, I'm only over 2 people, but being apart of the fresh department is so important (not that any other department isn't, I'm just saying it's a lot of work). I did call off today because I feel like crap and I really don't want to be around fruits and veggies while being sick, but I am loving my job so far!
I suppose that is it for now. I miss livejournal and need to get back into the swing of things. All the friendships I made through communities have been damaged, methinks, but I can always start over from scratch. :D
