I woke up this morning
My heart can feel your hand upon it,
asking me to stay strong but I miss you,
How I do...
As tears drain from my eyes,
I can hear your words,
Still telling me to watch out and
stop and think before I do the stupid things I have in mind,
You've made me better...
My soul feels your love still guiding me,
leading me to better days,
Even after all you've done.
For you I will live in hopes that I can make you proud...
May you smile from above,
watching and knowing that here you have left me,
But you left me with everything I need to make it in this world...
