Whoo-hoo! At long last, I was finally able to unload the last of my excess furniture from my previous way-huge barn of an apartment. (It's a long story as to why I couldn't get rid of it before now... get Radar a date with the hair dryer, and the mouse needed a napkin to go with his milk and cookie first, etc...!) The nice folks at a new local new-and-used furniture store came over, took it all away, gave me some money, and complimented my decor while they were at it.
Sah-weet! At last... I can see my floor. It's actually starting to feel almost as roomy as my old place was. So then I go out, and what do I see at a local bargain shop? A nice, cheap area rug. To cover up the floor I just found. (Irony, anyone?) But see, the whole point of an area rug is that it's in an area where you can See The Nice Rug. Get it?
I'm undecided. I start my new job next week, so I should really get settled in there before I start shopping again. (But it was so cheap! Argh!) But at least while I'm making up my mind, I can enjoy my nice newly-revealed floor.
