I hate torrenting stuff. It's impossible to find what you want because there's so much popular garbage clogging up the torrents, and everything is buggy/viruses or just awful quality. Also, as an artist, I like paying other artists for their work. I've been trying to track down some music I like on youtube, but a lot of it is foreign. I'm actually tempted to see if the Indian music store might be able to find me Malaysian Hindu Tamil language hip hop CDs. It's impossible to find it anywhere except on torrents if I can even find the name of the artist at all. I've been doing my best to track down good quality sources where the artist will be compensated, but wow this is getting difficult. One guy in particular has a lot of really cool music that he's making at home and self-publishing. I couldn't find him anywhere online except youtube and facebook, so I messaged him about whether or not he's selling downloads or CDs. He sends me to a bandcamp page with like five songs, none are the ones I wanted, and no other information. Ok, so maybe not everyone is trying to be a superstar and wants to spend all their time promoting everything, but OMG dude take my money!!! I think I'm just going to offer to paypal him some money because I want good quality versions of his music not pirated from youtube quality.
