Taking Shannon to New York for Harry really wasn't a hardship. He sent us on a private jet and had all the travel arrangements taken care of to get us there so really all we had to do was sit back and relax until we got there. I felt bad leaving him with what was going on in LA, and I didn't even tell Lex we were going until we were up on the plane. He understood that it would help Harry out to keep Shannon safe and protected. And I think he understood it made me feel better to have a charge outside of myself to keep track of too.
And Shannon is a lot of fun to be around. I never know what's going to come out of her mouth sometimes but it's never bad. So we relaxed on the plane and she told me stories about some of the people she's met while trying to get into acting. The directors and such who are pretty shallow and the other people she meets. It's amusing to listen to because she can be very good at imitating them.
Once in New York the limo Harry had arranged took us to his penthouse which he'd had filled with food and things for us but there was also a stack of take out menus on the table by the phone. I like to cook but this was supposed to be a vacation of sorts so we opted for take out and had it delivered. This was Harry so there was also flyers for just about every show and club in New York for us to look through as well. I don't think we'll have a chance to get bored.
The delivery guys brought in the food and waited around for a tip. We had sort of over ordered because after the plane ride we were both hungry and everything sounded good so we ordered some of everything. That way if nothing else there were leftovers to have around for fast heating. In a day or two I'll probably actually want to cook so the food here won't go to waste.
Right now it's just nice to be here.
