The life I've left behind me is a cold room
Lex had told me about working for Wolfram & Hart now. He didn't want another round of the misunderstandings like the first time so told me he'd joined them as the new VP for the LA area. It had something to do about Harry but he didn't tell me the whole story. Over the phone probably wasn't the best way to tell these kind of things.
I have to admit I know next to nothing about Wolfram & Hart other than what I'm picking up now from listening for things about it. I called Chloe and asked her to give me some background on the company. She just gave me that 'geez Clark don't you ever read' tone and told me it was the world's most influential law firm and it had offices everywhere. She wouldn't be surprised if there was offices on the moon they were so big.
They also have a really shady rep. Lots of accusations of dissapearing the people testifying against their clients and things like that. Not that anyone can prove it. So now I have no idea what this has to do with Harry, although if Harry did get dragged in I do understand him going along to protect him.
I didn't think it was a good idea to stay out at Lex's, I haven't had a chance to apologize to Dawn and even if I did I doubt she'd want me there. Lex put me up in a hotel for now until we decide what's going on.
He was working, I have no idea where Harry is and what's going on. So I have a little free time on my hands, I can at least walk by the offices and see what everyone is talking about.
