Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou #6
It starts with those two guys (Takashi's classmates) again. Damn, why can't I ever remember their names!? Anyway, one of them is having a crush on this girl from another class. She's a pretty girl who doesn't speak much.
(EDIT: so he is called Nishimura. At least that's what he says when he introduces himself to Taki XD)
Later on, it's dinner time at the Fujiwara house. Takashi goes looking for Nyanko-sensei who hasn't returned home yet. He finds him on a field. Takashi lies down on the ground, waiting for Nyanko-sensei to finish whatever it is he's doing. Two ayakashi pass him by, they're talking about seeing some strange stuff. Takashi asks them what it is about, but they're too surprised too see a human boy talking to them and immediately run away XD
Takashi becomes curious. He then finds some weird scribblings on the ground. Meanwhile, Nyanko-sensei is done with his hunt; he has caught three sparrows and tied them with rope (think of baloons XD). What is he going to do with them? You must watch it for yourself, it's too funny XD
Takashi tells Nyanko-sensei about the scribbling. Then they see a girl drawing similar scribblings on the ground not far from where they are. It's that girl his friend is having a crush on! When they approach her, the girl is startled and calls out Takashi's name. She abruptly apologizes for having called his name and promises that she will win.
Why? Win what?
That night, Takashi is having a bad dream. A scary youkai telling him that it will eat him up! D:
The next morning, when he sees his reflection in the mirror, he notices some letters (which read: "Natsume Takashi") written on his chest. Does this have something to do with his dream and the girl from the previous day?
When he comes back to his room, he finds an ayakashi already waiting for him. He has a big head and tiny mustache ("Chobihige!" XD). He tells Takashi that a human was able to see him when he was walking by the river. He realized that he was being seen when he was stepping inside a circle with weird symbols on the ground. Then he saw a girl drawing more of those scribbles. He asks Takashi to stop the girl from whatever she's planning to do.
Takashi, Nyanko-sensei, and Chobihige go to look for the girl and they find her drawing more circles. She runs away when he sees them but Nyanko-sensei manages to stop her. Seeing Nyanko-sensei, the girl is stunned...
Girl: "Ka-, Ka-..."
Takashi: "Kaibutsu?" (monster? lol!)
Girl: "KAWAIIIII~!!" *glomps Nyanko*
Takashi: NANIIII?
Nyanko: Kiita ka, Natsume *smug* (Did you hear that, Natsume?)
She introduces herself as Taki Touru, and apparently she has a weakness on cute things (Nyanko-sensei is 'cute'? D: XD). She explains that she originally can't see spirits, but by drawing the symbols on the ground, it enables her to see spirits who step inside it. One day she saw a scary youkai inside one of her circles. He was angry to be seen by human and cast a curse on her that he would eat her and the last person whose name she calls out to if she couldn't find him in a certain period (?? I can't really remember but yeah something like that) [EDIT: So the bet goes something like this: If she can catch him within 360 days, he will let her go. But if she fails, he will eat her along with the latest 13 people whose names she called out to.]. She says she will not lose from the youkai and asks Takashi's help to find the youkai. Takashi's life is also at stake afterall, since she has called his name. So since that day they start to look for the youkai after school. Unfortunately, those two Takashi's friends see them together. The one whose having a crush on Taki gets heartbroken ("I haven't even asked her for her name! ToT" lol poor guy!)
Takashi and Nyanko-sensei go searching by a pond. Sensei falls into the pond when he's jumping around happily because the yuujinchou will become his if Takahi gets eaten by the youkai. But when Sensei gets himself out of the water... Takashi is gone? D:
