Yay I'm excited! I got an ipod yesterday (it's really a present for Christmas, but the store ran out of them, so I just bought it yesterday) and I just uploaded a TON of music on it...and it's so much fun being able to hear all my favorite songs whenever, wherever, without having to carry all these CDs around. I tell ya, it's great

Ipods sound neat. ^^
I'd give you lots of advice on cons if I could, but I've only been to one myself. XD Just...bring as much money as possible. Better safe than sorry, ne? Unless you have a TON of money and want to make sure you don't spend it all. I went to my first con (SugoiCon) with something like $60 after paying to get in, and I left with literally no money at all. Not a single cent; my last twelve cents I gave to a fanartist I was talking to who said she'd do a quick little chibi on a scrap of paper for it. ^^ It's such a cute little chibi Kamui, too!
Anyways, cons are an amazing experience. Just the sight of seeing Sasuke walk by a Vash in the hallway is kind of fun. And the atmosphere....*is nostalgic again*
You're basically with other people who have the same interests as you. LOADS of other people who have the same interests as you. So you can walk up to pretty much anyone, strike up a conversation, and they'll KNOW what you're talking about. It's awesome.
And bring a camera!! You DEFINITELY want to bring a camera. And lots of film. And a bottle or two of water at least, even if you don't want to bring your own food. I think it was $2-3 for a bottle of water at SugoiCon. O-O That's a couple of keychains or buttons you're drinking!
I sympathize with you on the homework, incidentally, I'm taking mine with me when I go with my friend to the go club in Columbus tomorrow--which is, oddly enough, located somewhat near the Con I'm going to next weekend. O-O
And, cosplay wise, just throw something together if you want to do it. Ignore any mean people who say you're butchering their favorite character; at least you're willing to dress up like an obssessed geek to show your love for the series/character. ^^
Of course, I'm not really that great a cosplayer myself. *sweatdrops*

Did you think $60 was enough? Or did you think it would have been better if you brought more?
You and Danielle look so adorable! I hope you have a great time at your next con!
Thanks for the great tips, I find them very helpful! ^^

Uh...more money was needed, definitely. But since I only had a couple weeks prior notice, it was all I had, literally. I left that place totally broke. O.O The cheapest food available was the discount pocky in the dealer's room, so I survived on bottled water and two boxes of pocky for the whole day. XD I wouldn't reccomend doing this for two or three days, though.
I'm taking something like $120 with me this time, even though I'm going to try to save $20 of it for buying a hakama pattern, I may end up spending it anyways. ^^
