o1. My OSAP certificate FINALLY arriving tomorrow! I really wonder if anyone else has been having the hell of a time getting their damn student loan like I did -_-?
o2. Tomorrow's pay day WHOOOO...I must say , the best part about working is getting paid lol.
o3. I have some great news...

I HAS A NEW COMMMMMPUUUUUTARRRRRR!!!!!!

Yes ladies and germs , it's true! I got it yesterday in quite a funny story. A story I'll tell you all about momentarily. But now , let's look at the system specs shall we?

Computer Specs
Hard Drive: 250GB
SDRAM: 1GB
DVD[Player/Writer]: Yes
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor
OS: Vista Home Premium
Monitor: LG Flatron 19 inch flat screen LCD monitor

Not only do I have a brand spanking new computer , but after throwing in an extra 100 bucks or so , the lovely people at Future Shop burned the contents of my old hard drive and put it in a neat little folder and backup dvd! So all my artwork , wip's(works in progress) , music , movies and photos are saved! Okay , one more thing before I tell you how I got this. Let's all take a moment of silence to remember my old computer , Compy...

COMPY
2002-2007
You saw school projects , artwork , movies and all kinds of fun. You're in gigabyte heaven , may you rest in peace!

Okay , now how did I get this shiny new toy? Well it all started when I headed off to the college campus for an 8 o'clock class. I was running late and I was trying to use every short cut on public transit I knew. When I finally arrived a girl from the class told me , everyone had been waiting 10 minutes and the professor didn't show up. So we both headed to the library and started looking in our email accounts for anything. Lo and behold , the poor guy had injured himself exercising and pulled both his hamstrings(let that be a lesson to you guys who go nuts exercising! You might want to look ripped but don't kill yourself!!). So I left , got a call from mom and she asked if I felt up to going around local computer stores and looking for deals on desktops. We agreed , instead of me shelling out my money saved from paychecks and whenever my student loan arrived , mother and I would split the bill for a new computer.

I saw two really nice ones and she asked what I thought of them , I gave my opinion and next thing I know , this damn Visa card comes out , I'm told to "Grab a monitor and MS Office" and she PAYS for the damn thing!!! What. The. Hell o__o?!?! I was ready and willing to wait and pay for this myself and you and your hubby come in with your damn expensive surprises T_____T!! So we paid , left with the monitor and they took the tower part(with the hard drive) of the computer , in order to transfer the necessary files and set things up. We left the store at 11:40 in the afternoon and they said the computer would be ready by late afternoon. I was instructed to give my stepfather a hug when I saw him , so he got bearhugged :P. And the rest of the afternoon was spent waiting for the new tow to be ready and lots of hysterical giggling. Then like a new parent , I brought my baby home and set her up in under 15 minutes*likes playing with wires*. The only slight setback was with the monitor...

Me: Alright , that's everything. Let's turn this bad boy on! 3...2...1...WHERE'S THE PICTURES?!?! THEY SENT ME A FRIGGIN' DEFECTIVE COMPUTER! HEADS WILL ROLL TODAY!!!!!!!!!
Mom: Hey what about this cable Leah? Maybe it plugs into the monitor?
Me: But I plugged in everything...let's keep it though...
*plugs in the mystery cable into the monitor and an electrical plug and the monitor magically turns on*
Me:...thank you for the wire...

It would seem I have the supposedly male trait of not reading manuals too :P! So after getting the initial security stuff all in the lovely LiveOne Care , I proceeded to break in(read deflower XD) the computer and of course this means , putting my art stuff back on(Photoshop , Painter , my folders of "work" , photoshop patterns/brushes) , School related text and files and load my fonts. Now here's a little bit of a flaw with Vista...I had 300 plus font files. 100 or so were added to the default Windows font sets so that I could make my artwork a little spiffier , as seen here and here and lastly , right here. Unfortunately for me , Vista does not want to recognize quite a few of the text files. And in some cases it completely changes the appearance of some fonts. And this does not make me happy. I just hope there's some kind of patch/fix for this , and then I'll reload those fonts(from a dvd) all over again. Other than that , Vista is pretty neat. I guess I can resume all my computer related hobbies and go back to updating my deviantArt and artblog at known_as_leah!
