Last Friday I ordered a new power cord for the pc and it arrived today. And you wouldn't believe what happened, even after having the new cord plugged into my surge protector, the damn thing still wouldn't turn on until I played musical chairs with the available outlets. So once I got it on and working, I did a little experiment(being a biochem major and all). I disconnected everything moved the computer tower down the hall way to an outlet outside of the room with my art stuff(made easer by having the tower on this cute little stand), plug everything in and it turns on! Wheel it back into the room, over at another surge protector and it boots up normally again. My conclusion is, the electrical outlet has gone(or is going) bad. I guess I shouldn't be too, too surprised, this house is 13 years old after all, things are bound to fall apart. So I guess I just have to decide whether or not I want to up and move everything over to another outlet just to be able to enjoy having the computer turn on normally...but then I would lose my nice window view of outside my vantage point for spying on people! Know what else is falling apart? My computer desk, door to one of cupboards on the desk nearly fell on my foot and I yelled out a couple of "interesting" words along with the name of Jesus, not fun D:. Guess I better go desk shopping soon, found one desk at ikea that looks
promising! Definitely need one that has a keyboard tray, having my keyboard/tablet/printer all on the desk makes everything feel so choked up, it's horrible! And last but not least...whoever decided that today we needed 29 degree(84F) weather today without any rain needs to be shot. I don't like heat that makes me tired and headachy*turns on all the fans in the house*!! I swear I need to live in the South Pole or something, love me so cold weather! In the mean time...
WHY DOES DIGITAL INKING HAVE TO BE SO @!@#*@* TEDIOUS ARGHHHHHH!!! No seriously, would someone please tell me how some people can churn out digital linearts in no time flat and claim the inking and colouring only took 5-6 hours? I'd really love to know how! But I have to admit, since switching over to Paint Tool Sai from Corel Painter I have been able to ink areas a lot faster, maybe because Sai doesn't CRASH AT RANDOM MOMENTS and I find Painter's tablet pressure settings to be a little too sensitive...I think? I remember wanting to make really thick lines and when I press down lightly with the pen, I'd get a huge blob of black that made the lines ugly and if I pressed down lightly, I'd get these semi-transparent pixels...Maybe a break from Painter is a good thing. And it's a good thing I'm giving myself a good 9-12 months with this dang convention art -__-!
Sure hope we get some rain soon!
