Puppeh!
Or alternatively titled "Puppy love" or "I has a goggie!". So my uncle who has been living in Peru for 2 years decided to move back to Toronto. He just came in last evening and brought his 3 year old Golden Lab to a kennel near to my house. All he asked his, talented, compassionate niece(that would be me) to do, is visit his dog and talk him out walks. Of course, I had to be introduced to said dog...quite the different experience from the small pets I'm used to(goldfish, rabbit, ferret). I tried taking General(the goggie in question) and he wasn't really listening to me, I think it might be because he's used to hearing people speak in Spanish XD! Then after a nice walk around the block, complete with me yelling "Stop looking at stuff!" We went back home, let me tell you, trying to walk a 90 pound dog is hard work and they wouldn't let me back into the house because General kept tackling people XDD! So back out I went...but here's the best part of the story. My uncle had to go back to his hotel to find General's vaccination records. So everyone is sitting outside petting our new cannine companion, we give him a Rubbermade bowl of water and take turns walking him. At this point, General took a shine to me and would sit beside me, all protective like(Everyone say Awwwwwwwwww!). But then something happened...something sinister...
GENERAL UP AND TACKLED ME!!!!
Not once, not twice, multiple times! I had to ask if he was in heat because at one point in time, I actually turned my back to run and this perverted pooch is still trying to take me down and smiling about it! Forget about being gay called the "Love that dare not speak it's name" to General, that love is the love between a dog and your owner's niece! To be fair, before and after the tackling, he did keep laying his head on my knee and licking my face and arms, so I'm hoping he's not in heat and just trying to be friendly. So I have to go and check up on him at the kennel for the rest of the week and hopefully he'll keep the tacking to a minimum. Gotta admit though...General makes me want a puppy ;___;!
