A-chan (Perfume)/Yamashita Tomohisa. Prompt: Yamapi/A~chan! Because of that, "He's a legend!" comment on Heyx3. And because they could be so cute together.
A/N: Written for boycottbananas for my Valentine's Day Request Post 2011. Written in this universe where Perfume is NEWS' choreographer.
She trains him for his solo concerts. Not Nocchi who spends most of her time trying to train Shige or Kashiyuka who's usually occupied with either Massu or Ryo. But A-chan.
Yamapi thinks it's the perfect fit.
He vaguely remembers her in Horikoshi--but it was his last year, and so many things happened that last year. He half-feels guilty over this when she had asked him then, especially after a flash of hurt crossed her eyes. But it was quickly replaced with her usual ever-lasting smile and a cheerful "Well, it was a big school."
Yamapi nods and swallows the words he wants to say. "But now I'll remember you. Now I'll never forget." But he doesn't think it'd be right of him to say that. Not now, not this early.
They're always rehearsing off to the corner. The other members joke that Yamapi has claimed A-chan as his personal trainer and nobody else can lay their hands on her. That, look, leader with leader! It even matches! That even their forgetfulness and occasional ditzy moments make them fit well. Yamapi hates that his heart clenches as he looks over at her, still smiling. He can never read her--he still can't.
He gives her chocolates on Valentine's. A-chan stares at him, mouth wide as she looks down at the box in his hands. "A thanks," Yamapi says, trying to keep his voice steady and his hands from shaking. "You worked so hard on this tour with me and you deserve it." She blinks, looking up at him through her eyelashes before she steps forward and up on her tiptoes. She leans forward, never breaking her gaze with his and tilts to the side to place a light, almost airy kiss on his cheek.
"Thank you," A-chan says in return, pulling back and taking the box from his hands. "I know I'll love them."
Yamapi swallows and wonders to himself if he's given himself enough time to tell her what he thinks. He watches as she takes a bite of one of the chocolates, her eyes go wide before she squeals about how good it tastes. He chuckles before deciding that tomorrow was always just a day away.
