...and apperantly it's affecting my idea of what's a word and what's not...
Anyway, I've moved almost entirely to google from various other services and browsers. My homepage is now at iGoogle, which is really nice. You can add tons of apps, or "gadgets" and for the most part they all run smoothly. The CNN bubble and the comics bubble are both out of alignment and get cut off, but you can add games, animations, facebook previews, chat, etc. It's sleek, it's clean and you can pick a new banner. Mine's fractals; it updates with a new image every time I load the page. I've got all the major news feeds and a couple random trivia apps on there. All in all it runs great.
I also downloaded Google Chrome, which is their web browser. I really like it. It's quick, it's simple, the design is really sleek and clean, and the interface is smooth and user friendly. Whenever you open a new tab, it brings a menu page with around nine of your most visited pages, making hitting usual sites really easy. I haven't played with the short-cuts system, but it's supposed to make browsing even faster.
After that, I decided to switch entirely to Gmail and it's considerably easier to use than Yahoo Mail. It organizes your conversation by contacts and stores your chats. You can archive messages to get them out of your inbox, which has massive storage space anyway. It also interfaces wonderfully with Google Talk
Google Talk is kind of great. The whole thing is really clean and simple. It doesn't have the features of MSN or Yahoo, but the minimalist design makes it load up and run faster. It's meant for chatting rather than games and does it great. When you're on the iGoogle or Gmail page, a window pops out of the bottom bar the way facebook does, but it does it better. On facebook, it's in the way, but you can drag around the window for Talk and it takes up very little space.
All of them interface really smoothly with each other, and each has a pretty detailed settings menu, which allows for fairly high customization, although the default settings work fine in most cases. I highly recommend getting Chrome, Talk, Gmail and iGoogle, especially if you're using Windows products currently. I'm enjoying myself thuroughly.
