This week, Kakashi celebrated his birthday! (Which one, we may never know.) But yumi_chan86 has gifted us with a lovely Birthday Kakashi Chibi*!

Kakashi's Lyric Challenge", hosted by juniper_11 is underway here at the KakaSaku community! Sign-ups are closed and participants have only eleven days left (it is eleven, isn't it? My math is so shoddy sometimes) to get their entries done. I'm so excited to see the entries!

Our featured member this month, community, is you. And I have to say, Nims really beat me to the punch on this one, because ever since I first started planning this one, I always knew I was going to include a note on how fabulous you all are. I have been incredibly lucky in my internet experience to have never come across a nasty forum or community. But it still seems to me that this is the kindest, most generous comm in fandom - and that is because of all of you.
You revel in the fic and art and graphics and vids, you can make jokes and create awesome things, but that isn't where you stop. You're there. You're friends. You support everyone through dark times and leave comforting words and always try to cheer everyone up. We are a community, not just a gathering place for fans of a show. And that, my dear fellows, is just amazing beyond words.

I watched Tangled a few days ago, and then again a day or two after that, and have been desperately trying to find time to watch it again. It reminded me of why I love Disney so much.
So that's going to be our chat topic today. Disney. Cartoon or live action? Or, both, since, y'know, they do that now? Or are you more fond of the Pixar department?
What's your favorite movie? Why? Who's your favorite character? Favorite sidekick? Favorite villian?
I, personally, adore The Little Mermaid. I wanted to be Ariel when I was a kid (when I didn't want to be the Red or Pink Power Ranger, anyway). I remember when Mulan came out, and I fell in love with it. I still like it a lot. I cried when I watched Bambi for the first time and wouldn't eat deer meat for years. (I found out later that Mom'd been telling me it was hamburger.)
So, comm. Discuss. I'm off to make caramel apples and get ready for work.
