Wow, this was just gorgeous and filled with all of our favorite things. I DRANK IN THEIR DYNAMIC GREEDILY, oh so greedily and giddily! And oooh the descriptions! And Shizune, ah ha! I loved it ohhhh yes and with the end how he's all I FAILED YOU and knowing that he trains her and that she shows him little glimpses of affection that no one else gets and he kisses her hand but then walks out all straight-backed and sexy!
My reviews are greatly enhanced by html you see. *adjusts glasses studiously*
Thank you for such a BEAUUUUUUUUTIFUL prize story and wow it is just so wonderful, one to be revisited for the ages, more than anyone could have even possibly hoped for!
What a glorious thing! I was feeling a little down you know but this has boosted me right up like the Empress's soothing words smooth Kakashi's unease! AH BWAH HA HA lovely! Thanks so much for participating in the contest!

I don't think a fic is complete without Sakura blowing up something. XD

Because it was awesome.

Because like she said, this fic was AWESOME. The details of the setting fit in beautifully with what Cyn drew and all the spoken and unspoken nuances of their relationship...<3

I’ll never stop marvelling at your ability to pull us into another world so vividly. I grieved the moment it ended.
Meming for future abuse! :D

This was so perfect. From Shizune's role as the overprotective but obedient lady-in-waiting, to the vivid, gorgeous imagery of the palace and the Empress's chamber.
In a house of fine jewels he was the scuffed pebble brought in on the underside of someone’s shoes
Love, love, LOVE that line.
Not only did this fic capture the essence of the Empress (you even included the pomegranates!) and the Fool, but it perfectly captured Kakashi and Sakura's dynamic as well. I loved how she plays with him, and how every moment between them is filled with the unsaid. When he calls her by her name and a few moments later they share that stolen moment of affection...just those few words open up an entirely new story, and then leave us to our imaginations.
