going to school

I think closing school for a week was a little excessive. I threw out that thought to my mom and she looks at me hard and says, Kim, five people died. Maybe it was a little insensitive. Dad says a week is maybe too long to be thinking about it. I know I'll be thinking about it for longer than a week.

Everything openned up on Tuesday, and Kim and I took advantage of our time off to work out at the recreation center. We've really gotten into working out and taking care of ourselves. I ran at school today, and I had to stop myself because I had other things to do. I bet I could've ran for another hour.

The memorial service is planned for Sunday. The field house was filling up with chairs, getting ready for the over-flow attendance, and a tent was erected in front of the rec center as well.

My anthropology class will continue in another auditorium. Cole Hall is shut down for the rest of the semester. You can't even get within 20 feet of the building. It's taped off. King Commons is littered with crushed, dry flowers, and in the very center of the Commons is a tent protecting 8 panels containing hundreds of student thoughts, memories and condolences.

Walking through campus in the middle of the day is quite creepy when there's no one around.
