The Grind
Time for a quick update, since it has been a month between entries.
Basically, I am working. A lot. Six days a week a lot. It feels pretty grueling, and I end up being pretty useless on day six. Just four more weeks of this...
I was supposed to have gotten my Christmas shopping for England done last week, but all I have so far is a gift for my Mom. I just can't find anything for my Dad or my brother. And they need to be sent...well, last week. I haven't even begun thinking of American presents.
Selfish as it sounds, the only other present I have gotten so far is one for me. There is a reason, as Best Buy had 50% off one of the GPS systems I have been looking at on Black Friday. I picked it up in Gurnee, IL, on my way back from Thanksgiving (BTW, making Thanksgiving dinner in a new kitchen that doesn't yet have countertops is as hard as it sounds).
My only other activity of note has been Super Mario Galaxy. Basically, if you own a Wii, you need this game. There is no excuse not to have it. It's so much better than Super Mario Sunshine was--this is the true successor to Super Mario 64. You can't help but smile as you play through. I am currently sitting on 90 out of 120 stars, but I plan on getting all of them ASAP. Getting all 120 stars lets you play in another universe. The coloring there comes straight from the game. Read into that and you can see what 120 gets you.
I said it would be quick, and it was (for me, anyway). Off to work now, for our first midnight closing of the year. At least that gives me plenty of downtime to collect myself at the end of the night.
