(no subject)
So I graduated from UCF in August with a Digital Media degree, and as a result of not being a student anymore had to quit my job with the Art Department because it was Federal Workstudy. I bummed around Orlando for a month or so unable to find work and feeling hopeless because I couldn't find anything to do with myself, especially because over the course of a month and half I sent out 200 applications and only had one interview while I was there.
Long story short, I bit the bullet and came back to Tampa, and to my surprise/relief I got a call from a company yesterday who wanted to hire me, so I start tomorrow at 8 am sharp.
I'm just making file management systems and scanning documents for business back-ups, but fuck, I'm excited to finally have monies to start the rest of my life.
Sooo if anyone knows anyone who needs a place to stay in Orlando, the house I was staying in is fantastic. It's right across the street from a huge botanical garden, rent is only 300 dollars, there's a creepy basement, my roommates are amazing and lovable and very creative (one is a painter, the other is a film maker, and the guy who lives above us is a photographer), and there are tons of yummy Thai and Vietnamese restaurants surrounding it!
