Too long...
With no internet at my apartment this summer, posting has been completely halted. But this weekend I'm house/cat-sitting for a friend, which means that not only do I get to enjoy 2 adorable kittens, mega cable and showering in non-sulfurous water, but I also have internet!
It seems like there should be tons to post, since it's been so long, but this summer has seemed relatively uneventful - lots of working, not knowing where I'm going to end up, and waiting to hear back on potential jobs. I should be hearing back on another one soon, one that I have a pretty good shot at. Working in C-town has been good, but I am certainly looking forward to knowing where I'll be after this (or if I'll be staying).
My brother got married at the beginning of August - the wedding was beautifufl and the whole thing was a great balance of classy and laid-back. It was great to be back in MN, since it had been 6 months, and nice to see so much family.
Went to the NY state fair last weekend with some CGP friends - it was pretty fun, though not as good as MN. Still lots of good people-watching opps, though. We went on the hottest day of the fair, in the mid-90s, so we didn't consume much food other than water and snow cones. But no fried cheese curds anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter that it was too hot to eat.
The cats have decided that it's time to sit on my lap, which means that I should get off the computer and give them some attention.
