myspace ramblings

On Saturday night I made the mistake of going to myspace.com and stayed up way later than I had planned. I don’t have an account set up with all my information, but I got sucked into looking at some friends’ accounts and then at people from high school and college (it was sad how many people from CR I didn’t recognize - I don’t know if I believe ( Read more... )

That's pretty much how I feel about MySpace. Yeah, it might be fun to reconnect with some people on there (I had a "visiting MySpace" night like yours about a month ago), but most of the people I found on there, I wasn't friends with in H.S., and don't really plan to become friends with now. Though they are people I've wondered about. But I like to keep certain things private, and don't really feel like going through the hassle of joining and keeping it up to date and such.

I've noticed that I've been posting and commenting more on LJ since my computer crashed. Go fig. I always read my Friend's page, but don't always have much to say in return. I've been trying to write more, though, just to keep things interesting and try to remember events and things I've done a little better. So even if it feels like no one's reading your LJ, know that at least I am. :o) And hopefully my computer will be fixed soon and I can upload LOTS of photos to the web and you can waste time perusing them!

Happy studies!

Glad to know that some people are still out there. I hope your computer is fixed soon too!!!! And thanks for the reminder - I should upload the few pics I have. But not tonight - I think I need to stop staring at the computer screen and get some sleep. Tomorrow morning though.

I've also started weeding through the massive amounts of music and pictures I have on my computer - another good procrastinating activity.

I too am here! By the way, my roommate had a stalker in high school, like a serious restaining order stalker and he found her on Myspace and asked to be her friend. Just so ya know, Myspace is not all it is cracked up to be. I like that we all sort (well us 3 at least) keep in touch through live journal, but Myspace is just pushing it for me. I don't need every creep out there knowing what grad school I go to and what my favorite movie is.

I live in a big city and am not isolated like you but I still don't want all my information out there. I just feel like Myspace is going to come and bite someone in the ass someday, like oh I don't know: In a court room!

Ramblings are done!
