Ferrero Rocher
It's Valentine's day.
What does Valentine's day remind you of?
It reminds me of sweets and chocolates which I'm not very fond of.
Especially expensive ones like Ferrero Rochers.
But one person change that perception of mine.
"I still cannot believe that you actually treated me to a meal. Nino-kun is always so stingy." She repeated for the tenth time as we strolled in the the park. "Seriously, what occasion is it today? You've struck lottery?" She questioned as she jumped in front of me and squinted her eyes at me suspiciously.
"Nothing. It's just to thank you for the gift on Valentine's day." I replied as i walked past her nonchalantly.
"Hmm... Then I wished everyday's Valentine's day. So that Nino-kun can treat me to free meals for everyday!" She exclaimed as she caught up with me on my right.
"I could make that happen if you give me a chance." I replied as I stopped my movements.
"Eh?" She stopped right beside me, with a surprised look on her face.
"Would you like to be my girlfriend?" I asked as I pulled out the present I've been trying to hide all the while and turned to look at her.
Her eyes grew big and her mouth was opened wide in disbelief. No words came out from her mouth, only a huge grin was spread across her face.
She gently received the bouquet from my hands and looked at them. Just then she frowned at the bouquet of golden roses and looked at me with a questioned mark expression. "You... made these out of Ferrero Rochers' wrappers?"
Shit. I knew this wouldn't work. Should have saved more to buy some real roses.
"Ahh... Ah... That's because I couldn't afford the real ones so I thought I should make some with the wrappers you always threw away after eating them." I explained, hoping that this would work out.
"These are wrappers from the Rochers I ate?" She asked with amazement.
"I'm sorry if you don't like them."
"No, they're perfect. This is definitely something that only Nino-kun can come up with." She replied with a huge grin on her face.
"Eh? What do you mean by that?" I questioned. "Am I really that stingy?"
"Now, I also have a gift for you. Close your eyes." She ordered, totally ignoring my question.
"Why so secretive?" I asked.
"Do you want it or not?" She seemed a little irritated.
"Of course!" and with that I closed my eyes.
A few seconds later, I could feel her breath near my left ear and she whispered, "Arigatou."
I could feel my cheeks growing a little warm, but the next thing that I felt made my heart beat wildly. She gave a peck on my left cheek. I opened my eyes and saw her blushing face smiling at me. I could still hear my heartbeat loudly.
"So does that mean a yes?" I asked, as I tried to retain my composure.
"Hmm... I wonder..." She said as she slowly walked away.
That was probably when I started liking chocolates.
Especially Ferrero Rochers.
Another random scenario I came up with when I was staring into space on the MRT just now.
