I must have said sorry for a dozen times for not updating for so long, but at least I can guarantee you that I will finish this fic as long as there are still people willing to read. For those who are still with me, thank you so much for your support, i wouldn't have gotten this far without you. Without further rambling, here it is, the new chapter

Okay, I'll call you Faye then! I think Del told me that's your name in the previous chapter's comments, but I didn't want to be presumptuous and start calling you by your name, in case it's too personal. So I went with your username instead. But that's your real name? Wow, it's very unique! :) Does it mean anything (if you don't mind my asking)?

Actually, I saw that scene like a movie, too. I just really really love it - glass shattering everywhere, it looks so fucking cool. And I also feel Mikhail needed that wake-up call.

Well, I think all the action scenes you've written thus far are EPIC. And I really admire that cos I don't know how to write action/adventure stuff. Or sci-fi. Or horror. Or fluff. Or humor. Or crack. Haha. There's lots of things I don't know how to write.

But I recommend Donnie Yen movies. He's awesome. Oh and the Taken movies, too.

*high fives back* Chet Baker's version is instrumental cos he's a trumpeter. If you like jazz, you should check out Karly Jurgensen. She's one of my favorite musicians.

I'm sure you couldn't possibly disappoint in upcoming chapters even if you tried! I look forward to them! :)

It's not unique, it's Thai (I'm Thai) and English is my second language as with Faye being the easier pronunciation for my international friends of my nickname "Fai" (that no one can pronounce correctly - sort of 'fire' without the R but shorter and with resonant). As for the meaning, Fai = cotton, Kajorn = well known, popular, Wan = beauty. I believe it's Sanskrit or something. It's not a common name, BTW.

I'm trying to improve on my English and Japanese. Cos I kinda suck at both. Haha. I'm way better at English though, which is pretty damn ironic, I guess.

But "well known beauty". What a great name to have!

Wow, your tastes differ from mine, then. I love a lot of music, but mostly pop rock stuff. Some standards. I have some rap, RnB, and folk on my iPod. Acoustic stuff, no opera or metal though.

But I try to be open minded about music, cos it's something I can't live without.

I've also been raised all over the world so my English is kinda better than my elementary Thai. But this is a curse for "exported" students, we end up sucking in all languages especially our own. =_=

I tend to be extreme in my choices LOL Anything that brings out the most emotion in me I go for. And Operatic arias just make my cry! These days I listen to Jazz and movie soundtracks the most.

Yeah, I am actually Japanese. Well, most of me anyway. One quarter of me is American, but I try not to acknowledge that part cos it's from my mother who walked out on me. I don't mind you asking, Faye. Of course, there are some questions I wouldn't answer, but stuff like this is perfectly fine. Ask away! :)

But ironically, I am WAY more fluent in English than Japanese. My father raised me to speak English first, because it's the most important language (they don't call it the international language for nothing). I neglected my Japanese though so everywhere I go I get these dirty looks like, "You're such a disgrace. Don't you know any Japanese?" Haha.

But I live in Singapore now so I get a pass from those dirty looks! Haha. Unfortunately, the level of English here is abysmal. I can't understand a thing anyone says. *sighs*

Hmm.. I'm not familar with opera, actually. Maybe I should give it a shot.

But I get you, Japanese is not easy especially if you haven't been brought up with it.

Opera, if you're interested I can give up some reccs. It takes a lot of getting used to but once you are, it's one of those kind of music that can tear you to pieces and make you cry like babies.

Well, y'know, you wouldn't have had to bribe me. If I were much better at Japanese, I would have willingly translated the novel. But the translation would have been slooooow! Haha. I don't get to go online as much as I would like. On day, I'm gonna like take a year off and just explore fandom all the time! Haha.

But if you're interested in a translation, I know of a group that's doing it. I can't post their name here, but I can PM you with the link if you want. They haven't completed it yet, though.

Well, actually, Japanese is pretty easy - it's just that I have less interest in it compared to English. But I do love the language, and I find it easier to pick up than other languages. Like French, for instance. Haha. But I guess at the end of the day, interest and passion can make anything easy or difficult, depending on how much you have of it.

Thanks for the offer, Faye! I don't know if I could appreciate opera, but I wouldn't mind giving it a shot. Which one's your favorite?

Hmm I don't have a favorite opera, I have favorite arias from a lot Of operas, but I think the one aria that always breaks my heart would be La Mamma morta http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=kp&v=xXzeEfH6PTk&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DxXzeEfH6PTk%26feature%3Dkp (sung by my favorite singer Maria Callas) from Andrea Chenier. And then most arias from Puccini does it for me, especially Madame Butterfly and la boheme. I have so many favorites though >_

Thanks for the rec, Faye. The song is, indeed, beautiful. It's from Philadelphia, isn't it? That one scene which was so damn impactful. I love that movie.

It's amazing how music can be so damn beautiful, even when you don't understand the language.
