If that's how you write this pairing... then I want more, more, MOAR of it!!! Because holy cow, that was intellectually/emotionally HOT!

You already know that I looooove your Yoh to pieces, but he was absolutely amazing here *_* ! So strong and so disciplined, to the point of nearly-unfailingly denying his own emotions in the name of his duty: that's Yoh, that's exactly him. And the pride you infuse in him, and which is the main difference between yours and mine, is impossibly sexy in the particular circumstances you put him in here.

And Fei Long! Silly, rash, unstable Fei Long, who cannot resist a challenge and then inevitably regrets falling for it. That's just him, isn't it? Spot on, as always.

And now that you've so masterfully demonstrated that you DO understand the essence of Yoh/Fei, I'll be waiting for you to write your own version of that Holy Grail of Fei Long multishippers: Yoh/Fei/Mik ;) Only Alex dared tackle that one - and what a shame that those fics are now lost forever...

Oh, by the way:

Hmm, not quite... I wish I could jump to the last book in RISE, where Fei does get to break Yoh - and it's not pretty.

Oh, also: brilliant idea to fade to black right before the Yoh/Fei sex scene and to just give us glimpses of it afterward. I really don't think I would have enjoyed reading about it while it was happening, because of how completely wrong it was, but this way is fine.

So yeah, great fic! I WANT MORE!

I'm so glad you liked it. And your approval is enough to keep the option of writing them open! Thanks to Alex who showed me the way to see this pairing in a better light. And I have to admit, now that I've imagined them like this, I actually found the image of Yoh standing half naked in Fei's room looking all proud and stubborn too hot for Mik's sake. (damn, I want to see that drawn and colored!)

The sex is not written because of the reasons you said but also because it will ruin the point of it all - that this pairing goes beyond sex. Let Mikhail burn Fei's sheets and make him laugh and Yoh be his shoulder to cry on and a firm hand to hold him steady. Fei, baby, you don't even need Asami, you have TWO award-winning studs Aki can only dream about! But yes, I would so love to tackle that multishipper, but if it comes from me it would probably turn out to be some epic tragic love triangle where Mik dies at the end and Yoh gets Fei who forever mourns Mik that takes another five years to write- damn, that is making me itch like hell. Oh the drama! But that said, I'm also itching to continue this piece and see what happens when Mikhail comes along and be the one who does "come back" to Fei's bed whose name Fei does remember and how Yoh reacts to it. But for now at least I get to write a lot of Yoh in CI to come.

Oh but Fei did break Yoh in this fic without knowing it, the man just refused to show XD I forgot to write about the smoke that came out of Yoh's ears when he turned around and said "what do you require me to do?" I believe he wanted to make a voodoo doll of Fei and stab it a hundred times then for messing with his head and heart thinking, "Fei Long you bastard! I never gave you permission to steal my goddamn heart!" (in a more polite way, of course). And I can't wait to read RISE !

Heh heh :) Yoh never looks better than when he's beaten to a pulp (physically or mentally) and yet insists on silently and stubbornly standing tall and strong (see also: Naked Truth Zero *drools*)

Same as how he just goes "This is the only way for someone whose heart was stolen by you," instead of going on a long, ragey rant about how he never meant to fall in love with Fei, but it happened anyway, and he ended up betraying everyone and his own principles, and it's all Fei's fault :D ? Yeah, I can see that :P

Still, this here was just a crack in his armour. I intend to break him into teeny-tiny pieces ;)
