December Prompts Session

From now until midnight on Monday I’m open for prompts. This month I’m changing things a little and having a theme for the session, which is a minute, a year, a lifetime. As always I’m open to random number prompts and if you’re having trouble with the theme then give me any prompt that comes to mind.

A minute: Donor House: I've always been fascinated by stories with expanded or compressed time where the viewpoint character experiences events at a very different rate of flow than others, so for example a whole story could happen in less than a minute. Since vampires are often said to move very fast compared to ordinary humans -- and the older ones have massive life experience -- they could have all kinds of thoughts and actions within a very short span of objective time. I'd like a story where a problem occurs or is about to occur in the town, and a vampire solves it almost before anyone else realizes what's happening, and then just walks away while the witness are still going "Wait, what?"

A year: Pagans: Anna/Charlotte reflects on the anniversary of her accident and how far she has come rebuilding her life over that first year.

A lifetime: World Walkers: How long is the life of a world, and how well are they built to last? Based on established history in this series, the Fae don't really know what they're doing and aren't ( ... )
