Hello all my wonderful friends!
So i would like to spread the word that my drama class at canterbury is putting up our grad show which is called Gilding the Lily this june 1-4 [thats wednesday through to saturday] starting at 7:30 pm!
Here's a quick preview of the general idea of what its about:
To Gild the Lily is to give an often deceptively attractive or improved appearance. A unique collective derived from the theme of deception in relationships; Gilding the Lily is a collaboration of short scripted scenes combined with contemporary scenes developed by Canterbury Drama students. The scenes deal with various forms of deception; ranging from deception of self and deception of others to a broader discussion of societal concerns. The scenes extracted from Molnar’s play are adapted to a variety of decades from early nineteenth century to the present day, including the 1920s to 1960s, and '90s. The collaborative portion of Gilding the Lily is guided toward exploring relationships, their trials and tribulations, and the wisdom gained from each individual experience.
tickets are 8$ for students/seniors and 12$ for adults! you can buy them at the door or get me to buy them for you earlier.
