I haven't really posted recaps for the past 3 episodes.. shame on me. my weekends have been just a bit crazy lately. I have been watching though!
03.06 was really great episode. (thanks
ckll for the d/l *muah*)
I enjoyed it (like i enjoy every single episode of this series.) it had a nice mix of humor/seriousness/sadness/happiness. and there is honestly nothing more i love in a show/episode then having it tap into so many different emotions.
-Elena had me laughing at her very non-princess like persona.
- Damn Uthur for pretty much telling Arthur he has to marry her.
and Arthur so obviously not wanting to marry someone he does not love.
-I felt embarrassed for Elena lol, and
yet I couldn't "not" laugh when she fell
- Back to laughing as she schooled Arthur in a not
planned horse chase, then Arthur reaction once he finally caught up her.
- & Merlin finally catching up, and poking fun at Arthur.
and Arthur pretty much begging him..
'Merlin, don't leave me alone!' ♥
-then the most awkward hug in the history of hugs.. ever.
Arthur/Merlin Thinking in unison "did that actually just happen?"
-My giggling continued well in to the great feast..and for a moment or two
I completely forgot that Morgana was a evil Bitch witch. I love how all 4 of them are trying so hard not to laugh.
-and Gwen is all "you have got to be kidding...Really?"
- so far this recap is lacking Merlin ♥... so I give you
Curious Merlin being all curious & far too adorable
-the I start feeling the sadness when Arthur again tries to tell his Father
that he does not wish to marry Elena, but his pleas fall on def ears.
-Then Gwen looks at him
-He looks at Gwen :*(
-& Morgana figures everything out.
ah there you are your evilness.
-Merlin knows something is up. so he goes and be's all Sneaky and stuff
-and finds out Elena is really a Shea faerie (or at least possessed by one)
-this is just because I love views of the castle
-Morgana questions Gwen about her feeling for Arthur.
this can't lead to anything good.
-Merlin is exhausted from research
looking for a way to remove the Shea from Elena
and the next scene is the scene that almost killed me.
I haven't said it much since joining this fandom, but I really do love like Arthur/Gwen. (not as much as Arthur/Merlin of course...) but they probably are my second favorite pairing. and this scene just broke my heart. Arthur doesn't cry often, hell this wasn't even crying, this was just those tears on the brink of spilling over, and those are the ones that get me. He just doesn't know what do to. completely torn between the one he loves and the marrying to secure the future of the kingdom, and Gwen being completely selfless in supporting him no matter what his decision.
-Arthur ends up doing what he thinks is best for his father and the kingdom
and proposes to Elena in all her hair frazzle glory.
-Merlin and Giaus still working very hard at finding a
way to rid Elena of the Shea, and finally they find the potion that should work,
but in the mean time, The Shea King comes to stop Merlin. little faerie fights with Merlin
- Giaus Lures Professor Sprout the Pixie with promises of sexual favors
to the dungeon, to try and hold her captive while they administer the potion to Elena
-they don't hold the pixie for long though.
-Merlin finishes her off though, while Giaus feeds the Princess a potion
-But She just isn't drinking it fast enough for Merlin.
-Then the Shea is free, and Merlin Blows it up.
-Go Team!!
-This was my favorite scene!
I love when they have these moments between them more then anything else. I love their banter, I love their jokes. But its moments like this between Merlin and Arthur that make my heart soar.
M: Your Ceremonial sword
A: Is it for me to fall on?
M: Hopefully not...Whats... wrong?
A: You wouldn't understand Merlin, you have no idea what its like to have a Destiny...
you can't escape.
M: Destinies... are troublesome things.
M: you feel trapped, like your whole life has been planned out for you, and
you have no control over anything, and sometimes you don't even know if a Destiny decided
is really the best thing at all.
A: How come you're so knowledgeable?
M: I read a book
A: What did this book tell you? should I marry her?
M: that's not really my place to say...
A: I'm asking you.. its your job to answer
M: You really want to know what I think?
A: *nods*
M: I think you're mad, I think you're all mad, people should marry for love, not convenience. and if Uther thinks if a unhappy king makes for a stronger kingdom, then he is wrong. Because you may be destine to rule Camelot, but you have a choice.
And what I love more then Arthur asking for Merlin's advice.. is Arthur taking Merlin's advice and doing what he feels is right.
