Fabulous!!

I love how you tied it in with the episode. and adored how you had Lorne & Zelenka commiserating over their respective bosses:

"And at least Sheppard hasn't made any of the Marines cry," Lorne said as they walked back towards the ruins. They'd spent most of the trip commiserating about their superiors.

"Unwillingness to publicly crush the souls of subordinates is always a good trait in a leader."

"Still," Radek said. "At least McKay doesn't expect us to die horribly to protect the city."

Lorne rolled his eyes. "Sheppard doesn't expect us to die horribly while defending the city!"

Radek made a noncommittal noise.

"Okay," Lorne said after a moment, "maybe he's a little disappointed that we haven't made more of an effort on that front."

::snorts::

yay, Lorne and Zelenka, commiserating, and kissing, and both being kind of matter-of-fact about things until the, y'know, detached hand! Ooh, and Lorne speaking Czech and Radek being kind of confounded by that, and. things. Good stuff.

I really like the Lorne/Zelenka pairing and I think you did a nice job with it. Weaving the B-movie plot into the missing scene of how Radek spent his time on kid planet was clever. Very nice and fun fic.

I'd been wanting to write missing scene for awhile, but I couldn't figure out what Radek would be doing (other than hooking up with Lorne) until I got the B-movie prompt, and then it was obvious: fighting a disembodied Wraith arm! Anyway, thanks for commenting, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
