WTF....geeking out...
so ummm posted this post through my Xjournal, and it appeared in The Pillows LJ community.... so that was embarassing....hopfully this doesn't happen twice...

Thought I'd shamelessly plug the school I'm going to here on my LJ because it is essential before I geekout...
I'm attending DAVE School http://www.daveschool.com, and am currently in Block 1 of school. So this is only a 3D School, designed to bring you into the 3D industry as quickly as possible.
I debated attending different schools, checked out Full Sail, AI, and others, and I have to say I'm glad I chose DAVE School...
Why?
Well it may have to do with one of the instructors being Lee Stringer, who worked as effects supervisor for Zoic and worked on Season 1 of Battlestar Galactica.
He also worked as a visual effects artist for Firefly
I think more importantly it's because of Ron Thornton who was the Visual Effects supervisor for Babylon 5 and was one of the pioneers of bringing CGI to the TV media.
Who also worked on Spaceballs designing and creating miniatures, and if that isn't enough to geek me out, he was also responsible for the visual effects for Dr. Who
So yeah i'm geeking out at this school
