A Story of Epic Heroism

So.

Last weekend I couldn't find my wallet when leaving Davis. Looked all around, couldn't find it. Checked in my car, didn't see it. Came back, called the store we went to for food the night before, hadn't left it there. Checked my car again.
...oh. There it was, wedged behind the seat. Okay then.

So this weekend... I actually left it there.
Dammit.

I realized, at about 1am this morning, that this must be the case, because I had gone through every place I might have put it.

Which meant that I had no credit card, no ID, no bus pass, and barely enough money to get to school this morning. I couldn't have gotten back home, much less paid the $4 toll to get back over the bridge to Davis (or... well, have gotten gas either. Which I realized later.)

Well, fuck.

But then, hope was born! Nick mounted a rescue party to bring me my wallet in the dead of night through the dark and the cold and rain. He and his friend Amanda drove down here, arriving at about 3:30 in the morning. My heroes! =D
My completely insane, utterly exhausted heroes.
Completely awesome, utterly epic, and a huge relief, I must say. This day will live in infamy for a very long time... well, it will be remembered by me for a very long time, anyway. Words cannot describe.

My day has completely turned around because of that. Classes seem to be totally awesome, and I'm feeling pretty optimistic about everything despite the 4 hours of sleep. Thank you!
