Kelly and I were rolling around on the couches, unable to breathe for a good fifteen minutes or so. It was even worse when Kelly, in between giggle gasps, attempted to describe to me the image she got in her head of a man attacking an unsuspecting person with a large link of sausages. It was a little difficult to recover my abdominals after that.
We just finished watching the last two discs of the Office (season four) when Sami called. She'd just gotten out of her sorority thing, apparently.. and she didn't sound happy. Kelly and I are really worried about what happened. Did she not get invited back to the sorority she wanted? The whole rush thing is too complicated for me to really wrap my mind around, since I'm not involved in it... but I know tonight was the last night, the night when the sororities choose you, and/or you find out which one you got bids in. She said she wanted to do something, and when I asked what she wanted to do, she replied: "I don't know, something involving me killing myself?"
I threw a horrified look in Kelly's direction, who responded with a confused, worried expression. "No, don't say that! What happened?" She was quiet on the other line for a moment. "I'll tell you when I get back. I'm heading back to the apartments now." "O-okay..." Click.
Kelly looked at me. "I guess that's the reason why we've never been partial to sororities?" I made a face and set my phone back on the table.
