Mmm.... Taco C

I stayed after Kajukenbo to work out a little bit.  (I waited until they all left)  We did a lot of sparring, but honestly that doesn't improve my endurance at all, which I'm going to need if I plan on going to this tournament in a few weeks.  SO I decided I needed to do something that has worked in the past: dancing.  Constantly moving really helps me keep my adrenaline pumping, and in sparring I like to pause and revert into a defensive mode every now and again, which lets my adrenaline fall.

I brought my ipod and jazz shoes and took a corner of the gym that wasn't being used (there are a few judo and jujistu guys that have the mats from 8:30 to 10, but that was it) and just went for it.  I work myself out a lot better when I do improve and that type of thing, so I went through a few songs that really gave me inspiration, and used those to get myself working.

WOW, it was so great!  I miss dancing a lot, too.  ;___;  I really wish I had the time and extra money to drive out to a nice studio in Austin and take classes, but I don't.  T__T  I danced for about 20 minutes straight, which is really good. Hopefully I can push that to 30 minutes, then 40, and so on.  The last song I did improv to was "The Moment I Said it" by Imogen Heap, which is a great song to improv to.  It moves and changes progressively, and while it changes pace in multiple places, it also continuously builds throughout and the collapses at the end.  YES!  I loved it.  I loved dancing to it; I kept thinking of Mia Michaels and all of her amazing choreography, which pushed me to try different techniques and interpretations.

I need to start taping my improv. XD

After I met up with the boys at Taco C, and got into a ridiculously detailed discussion with Mike about NWN and NWN2. <333 I love my dorky boys, they help me unleash my inner nerd.

Mike: Jen, I love you, because you're a closet nerd. You have an inner dork that hides behind a cheerleading uniform.
Jason: And you like kicking ass.
Me: Who doesn't? Kicking ass is the shit.
Ken: No, the BFG 9000 is the shit.
[all of us]: YEAH IT IS!
