goddamn right, its a beautiful day....
my vacation at the shore:
all good things must come to an end...and so it has...i wait practically all year for those two great weeks at the beach, and just like that they are gone in a flash...they go by so fast its hard to hold on to it...but every year, if its possible they just seem to get better and better...but also harder and harder to leave...
the first weekend started off slow, not too much going on...the weather was bad so we stayed in and watched movies...although the stars came out amazingly that sunday night and we were outside for 3 hours watching them and talking up a storm and of course singing occasional songs not to mention christmas carols to get us ready for the incoming holiday...once we got into the week the weather was much better...we went to the beach for 3 days in a row (monday-wed)...they were very nice days although monday there was some jelly fish in the water, tuesday was very nice, and wednesday was jellyfish mania...they were like dead empty jellyfish, but there is still no need to swim with that stuff...so wednesday we took an early day from the beach and went in the pool for quite a while...monday night we watched the stars for like an hour and sang christmas carols the WHOLE time because it was christmas in july eve and we were all very excited...tuesday was the big event where i slept over the other house and we stayed up until very late in the morning...we celebrated christmas like woah and had a dance party which was absolutely hilarious! and we also exchanged gifts, which by the way they made me this really amazing scrapbook which i LOVE!...i also showed them the memory video i made, my big ap production of 'good times' and they enjoyed it greatly...by thursday we were already a little tired of the beach so we stayed in and watched just like heaven because i had just finished reading the book, which was very good...we also went to the boardwalk which was more fun times going on the rides and making hilariously funny log floom pictures...they just get funnier and funnier every year! we also went on the double shot which shoots you up and down into the air which was fun cuz we screamed really loud for fun, we went on this glider thing where i got to fly like superman...which of course is always great! and we also went on the ferris wheel and in the funhouse, which i almost fell down in and screamed really loud! hahaha and as the best part i got my soft vanilla in a cone with rainbow sprinkles to seal the night...friday we went to the beach and had a grand old time...the water was amazing and we stayed in for like an hour and a half...however my dad called us from work and said that a bunch of bad storms had just passed through philly so that they should be heading our way...well like five minutes later the sun was gone and these really crazy storm clouds were rolling in...EVERYBODY evacuated the beach in like 5 minutes, and it was just completely empty...and while driving back to the house it started downpouring...it was a really quick storm but it picked up a second time and i had to run outside in it and get our garbage can lid that was blowing down the street which was great fun...saturday i went to visit sam blake and mary in ocean city...it was a HOT day at the beach but the water was very refreshing...after showers we went for some boardwalk pizza and minigolfing...it was a lot of fun...when i got back to avalon i went to the other house and me cindy and steph slept over and made a pirate movie which is just waay too funnie! and it was another late night up...yeah that was my night of 2.5 hours of sleep cuz the next morning we went to church and breakfast with the fam...and we also went to the beach again and took some great family photos...my aunt got hurt and sprained her foot because a little kid on a wooden skimmer thing glided into her...her foot was real swollen and she went to the hospital and stuff but all she got was a boot (a little boot! not the whole leg one;) )...and then we had our annual spaghetti dinner which was soo yummy delicious and then we went mini golfing which was A LOT of fun, like usual...
week 2: monday we went to the beach and the water was crystal clear but with some jelly fish so we didnt go in too much, only to cool off...that night me krista and laura locked out the little boys and talked for a very loong time about the most random things and we also watched elf in spirit of christmas in july...tuesday was the start of the mad heat wave so we all just mellowed out at my house and we started watching lois and clark!! hehehe i was showing them all the highlight good episodes...wednesday we went to water wars which was hilarious and there was atleast 1 balloon shot off that we got hit by really really good...one of them my little cousin did and it just like dripped all down my head....it was sooo funnie and very refreshing because it was day 2 of the heat wave and since we really didnt want to go to the beach with temperatures soaring over 100 degrees we decided to swim in the pool for awhile and get refreshed somewhat with the 92 degree pool water...at night we took a late night walk to the beach which was somewhat disasterous because the biting flies were out and we all got eaten alive, although we did have some fun frolicking in the sand...that night the girls slept over and we watched the pirate movie...thursday we woke up and headed to good ol' sp for the play...i gave krista and laura the tour of the town and we watched a lot of lois and clark to pass the time...we went to carousel --which was GREAT!--and then to unos for some scrumptious dessert...that night we stayed up real late watching lois and clark...haha i got them totally addicted! we woke up nice and early friday morning to drive back (another 2.5 hour night for me)...when we arrived in avalon we went to stone harbor to do some shopping although i didnt really buy anything because our favorite store was closed down this year which stunk...afterwards we went to the beach for like 5 minutes because the flies were insane! so we came back and went in the pool and seriously just floated around for like an hour because we were pretty exhausted and it was just a very very relaxing time....friday night i went over to get ready to say goodbye because they were leaving saturday morning...we went to the little beach and took hilarious pictures on this huge crane...then, as we were watching the final episode of lois and clark, my aunt comes in and goes 'tim just called and said since we've been having such great weather why dont we stay another couple of days' well, our mouths just dropped and we jumped up and down and we were all insanely happy!!! so we got TWO extra days which was totally awesome...and saturday when we went to the beach it was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!! we spent 5 hours at the beach and we took a lot of pictures...and sadly i experienced something that i guess is bound to happen to everyone in their lifetime...we were all like sitting taking a picture and then all of a sudden i looked down and was like 'EWWWW!!!!' ...yes, thats right...i got pooped on!...luckily it was just like on my leg so i just had to splash it off in the ocean...but it was not a pleasant experience and it really feels like someone just chucked some sunscreen at you...but anywho, it was still very funny....saturday night we watched the replacements because they had never seen it before and i slept over...yes which meant another late night...and we had another dance party and ate lollipops which was great fun....sunday we went mini golfing in the afternoon and ate some yummy delicious ice cream...then we went to the beach for another amazing day where we just layed out in the sand and did not want to leave....at night we watched the sunset from the little beach and eventually had to say goodbye because i left that night with my parentals...
leaving was soo hard...we like couldnt even look at eachother because we were all crying our eyes out because it sucks not knowing the next time we are going to see eachother...usually its not until the following june for graduation parties...although now, we are putting a stop to it because we just cant do it anymore...goodbyes get harder and harder...seriously the most amazing two weeks i could probably ask for...its a rare thing to be able to stay up until 4 o clock in the morning 4 times just talking about nonsense stuff that makes you want the moment to never end...and every year we make these lists of funny things that we did or said...and this year its a really really long list...its nuts...but if you could sum up this year in two words, we all decided: pirates and superman...they had a great influence on our whole trip and it was great!
so here i am...scary to think already 4 days have passed since ive been home and i miss my cousins terribly and i know they miss me too...ive been looking at the pictures we took soo much (all 1200+ of them) and ive been keeping myself busy...watching movies and doing crafty things...i got some door paint and made my closet doors look cleaner and also my main door...and i also painted a mural on the back of my door...it only took me 1 day to paint the mural, today...and i had waaay too much fun doing it...i totally love to paint and it came out very nicely and i cant help but just sit here and stare at it cuz i cant believe i actually did it...set my my mind to it and just did it...i also hung up some other cool stuff which i like to just stare at...im tryin to organize a lot of things and im proud of myself for getting them all done...
well, i have officially been typing for like an hour so i think im gonna go now and do more creative stuff...scary to think only like 2 weeks left of summer...man i cant believe how fast it went...although it was a pretty good summer even if i didnt do too much...atleast im getting a lot accomplished on the creative side...and reading! i have read a lot...
okay now im going for real...i wonder how long this is?? hahaha probably mad long...
